Debbie and Jack Staver could not be more proud. Last week, they delivered the first edition of The Weekly Enumerator (WE), your legislative scorecard, to the State Capitol. With the help of the kind gentleman in the mailroom, each General Assembly member got the results of the last WE survey and your opinion on the bill surveyed for the first WE edition, HB 719.
On their way to the rotunda to see Mike Crane announce his run for congress, they ran into the sponsor of HB 719, Rep. Brad Raffensperger from John’s Creek. Raffensperger was pleased to see his bill on the Weekly Enumerator and quickly informed them that the bill number had already changed and has been combined with something else. However, it can still be researched under the original bill number, HB 719. We will be providing more information on about this in upcoming WE legislative reports.
Thanks to Mr. Frank Molesky of Cobb County and his ‘Match My Contribution’ challenge, there were additional copies available for distribution around the Capitol. The Stavers reported that the feedback was very positive by all who received a copy.
Our second survey is being prepared for print and will be delivered to the Capitol this week. We are more excited than ever and want to sincerely thank all of the various citizens and groups across Georgia who helped us launch The Weekly Enumerator, both physically and financially.
Stay tuned for more legislative updates and be sure to reserve a few minutes every week to make your voice heard with The Weekly Enumerator.
We are the government and WE can make it right again. The key is WE!
